Furious Fingers and nothing ever changes

I’ve had a lot to say in recent days. The message has been conveyed with my furious and fumbling fingers. Many posts, Some quite long. I have since college had terrible mechanical typing technique. My Dad’s old colleague Enid Smale, if I remember the spinster’s name correctly was terribly embarrassed to give me a D in her class because my Father was her colleague in Mankato State’s Business Administration Dept.

I thought I had written about that class before. The first mention of it I found was from this search. No luck

Well, I entered “typing class” into the search mechanism and I came up with this post from 2007 that has no mention at all of that typing class but does proves that nothing ever changes at least not for me.

I woke up at 1AM with a lot on my mind. I blame the chocolate that was lying on the coffee table in front of Claudia when I got home from the School Board meeting. She caught me red handed at noon today with my little stash after coming back from swimming with the boys and their Mother. “You better hide it” she said with disdain in her voice. “Two little boys will be up here soon.” The disdain is explained because I went off chocolate a few years ago. Back when I was on the school board I got in the habit of eating prodigious quantities of the damn stuff and hiding it in the house. My kids prided themselves on knowing where I hid it but honestly. They hardly ever found any of it.

I hastily shut the drawer under my computer so that the bag of chocolates stuck out over the lip. “They’ll find it.” Claudia zinged.

So tonight as sat through my first Duluth School Board meeting in five years she grabbed the bag and helped herself to the real chocolate milk balls. I was hungry at 9:30 when I returned home having only eaten some raw veggies and dip before the Board meeting. She was watching the third part of the “Life of Mohammed” on PBS. It was very interesting. Sorry I only caught the last half hour. Sorry I finished off the milk balls too.
