My eclectic self

I wasn’t watching my cell phone’s charge and didn’t plug it in for a recharge until I saw it was at 1%. Too late it winked out just as I was attempting to earn some points on my Duolingo in French. Alors Je suis ice. So I am here.

When Bob Boone, publisher extraordinaire of the Duluth Reader, asked me to write a column he hoped I would write about politics for a “conservative.” perspective my being a Republican and all. I told him I was more interested in writing miscellany like the first test column he published which was about my combat with army worms. He reluctantly gave me a page. Since Donald Trump showed up six years ago my columns have rarely departed from politics but I mostly stayed away from partisan politics for the first few years except for Duluth school board politics.

It is probably hard for my eight loyal readers to tell that I’m still an eclectic because I do wade in political waters all the time when I bother to post. I’ll try to push back against that for an hour or so.

I use me cell camera all the time and upload interesting pictures up to my Flickr account in case I might want to use them for a column. I send urls from interesting News stories to my own email for the same purpose especially the near daily stories of environmental catastrophe’s that Fox News would rather keep its viewers ignorant of so they keep coming back for the political swill that fill’s the pockets of the God Damned Murdoch family. They have been poisoning the well in the US, England and Australia for twenty years. More than any other person they broke up the European Union, unraveled America’s confidence in Democracy and have sucked on Vladimir Putin’s finger as his army raped their way through the Ukraine. I was thrilled with they Murdoch’s environmental change denying toady Prime Minister Morrison was finally dumped by Aussie voters when one too many firestorms and floods wore out his welcome in the increasingly Marsupial free country he has misruled.

Yesterday I read that the bully is being peed on by a little news outlet that he threatened to bulldoze. Crikey……That’s welcome news.

I have a friend from my High School days that worked for the Wall Street Journal when it was bought up by the bastards. I asked her if she felt the Murdoch’s heavy hand in the editorial department a few years ago and she said to her relief she hadn’t noticed it much. Well perhaps the WSJ was a little too important a product to tamper with too much but it did tilt toward the anti-Christ, Donald Trump, a little too for my taste but I see that since Donald’s humiliation the WSJ has been happy to pour salt on his wounds. Even Fox News has frozen the Donald out of interviews for several months. As far as I’m concerned its too little too late. The Murdochs should all take a holiday and swim noisily in the rivers of Queensland. They could help the feral pigs reestablish the Crocodile population.

Speaking of predators I liked the latest movie in the Predator franchise Prey. I highly recommend it. In my next post more predators.
