After a loooooong day of travel to Copenhagen which began in tears as O’Shea (our cat) suddenly decided to die of renal failure half-an-hour before our departure I am pleased see that the blog is in good hands.
The Radisson SAS hotel overlooking Tivoli Park has good Internet connections so I’ll be able to keep up with the world for the next couple days. I much approve of Mel’s early contribtions.
We are seven hours ahead of Minnesota so I’ll be a little off kilter but I’ve been checking email and know that I’ve left Mel and Chris with their hands full.
I’ll just leave you with the concluding paragraph from this story about one flashy lobbying technique:
“Other members of Congress whom the trade group’s PAC hosted for fundraisers on the yacht included Sens. Richard Burr, R-N.C., and Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., and Reps. Ed Case, D-Hawaii, Sue Kelly, R-N.Y., Jeff Miller, R-Fla., Jim Oberstar, D-Minn., Tom Reynolds, R-N.Y., and Don Sherwood, R-Pa., according to trade association and federal campaign finance reports.”

Sorry to hear about O’Shea, Harry.
