Well. When I finished the last post I realized I’d covered most of my “long game” in these three paragraphs:
Now that that’s off my chest, for five minutes, back to the thread of this post and the next two to follow.
I’ve been wavering between several goals ever since I first file against Pete Staiber’s finger licking politics back in 2018. Fixing the Party of Lincoln. Cleaving off a Party of Lincoln from the Trumplican stampede. Running as a Democrat to teach Republicans a lesson. Writing books that make America slap is forehead and wake up. Writing books to make Republicans wake up or Independents wake up……or make Americans want to read their history.
Being in Congress is only interesting to me because if I got that far I’d have a larger audience, Maybe even a large enough audience to accomplish the previous paragraphs objectives. As it is I haven’t put anything together that will get more than a dozen people to a posat like this one.
So, getting elected which is a remote possibility at best and getting more remote with every passing year would, even if it happened, only be a short term gain when long term I want our Democracy to live on, Abraham Lincoln’s legacy of liberality to live on and for the stink of Trump to break through the cloth’s pins on Trump voter’s noses.
And of course for them to see that they will need to know that things (like a powerful Trump) are not always what they seem. Next post please.
