I have been welcomed to attend the January 15th meeting in which the local Democratic party has invited citizens through the Indivisible movement to introduce themselves to the public. When I first commented on this on January 1st I didn’t realize it was a DFL oriented meeting but I got the idea that Congressman Pete Stauber was welcome to come. As subsequent posts of mine have spelled out I will be there. I’ve also been invited to speak to citizens in Carlton County.
Today I have taken the biggest step to start my campaign. As I listened with teeth clenched to the President lying about what took place on January 6th I told Claudia about my appearing which was her first news that I would be a candidate. Honestly, for most of my 21 previous campaigns this has been the hardest thing for me to do. “Great, so I have to go through another campaign!” she said or words to that effect. Yup.
I’m late putting up a post today. Its fifteen minutes to the 10pm news. I will probably start sharing more of the hundreds of ideas I have but I like the idea of there being a single most important Post of the day. Here’s one I’d like to have the good Republicans of Minnesota to share. My kind of Republicans gave up going to Precinct caucuses years ago because its no fun to have the majority of people at a caucus think you are a baby killer.
But I will be going to mine and I will present some resolutions. I’d love for people accross Minnesota who like Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight David Eisenhower or Ronald Reagan to go to our Minnesota caucuses in February and take resolutions like these that I spent about five minutes jotting down. Please if you have more ideas send them to me at: harrywelty@charter.net
Ten to get started:
There will be no invasion of Greenland or other territories recognized by International law unless there is a direct military threat to the United States.
The President will remove the histories he has authored to discredit his presidential predecessors from the White House.
No taxpayer money should be spent by the President on partisan politics.
The United States will demand that the corrupt government of Venezuela step aside and allow the legitimate winner of the recent Presidential election to take office.
The president of the United States must follow the direction of the Congress before committing acts of war or spending billions of dollars to influence elections in other nations.
All candidates of the United States must submit complete personal audits of their finances before assuming office or before accepting the nomination for President of political party.
The President of the United States shall not threaten states with retaliation or punishment if he disagrees with their internal affairs of laws.
The President of the United States shall not threaten or undermine our NATO partners when they are threatened by a any nation actively working to undermine their democracies.
The President should reprimand his Secretary of Health and Human Services for threatening the lives of children in need of vaccinations for childhood and other diseases.
The President has every right to complain that he should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
If you would like to share these resolutions to other people who might like to attend a Republican Precinct caucus in Minnesota send them a link to this post: You might find this interesting.
Oh and fun fact of the day. George Conway is going to run for Congress as a Democrat. Go George!
