In a few days my next column will be published about Trump butt sniffer Pete Stauber’s history of getting ahead. The first harmless instance was when he insured a victory for a National Division 1 hockey championship. The second time he went full Benedict Arnold and joined Trump in undermining confidence in the Biden victory in 2020. My post Number 21 his post shows the snow sculpture which, though now melted, will reappear in the Reader again Thursday.
Over the past two days I’ve tweaked two changes to the campaign webpage mentioned in the first line above. (BTW I will keep that line at the top of all future posts until the August Primary) If I’m going to sent tens of thousands of letters exposing Stauber to voters in Minnesota’s Eight Congressional District I need to get them to 1. make donations to my campaign. 2. Buy my book which will put money in my pocket to do the same. 3. Encourage people to share my story across the US. With luck I might be able to build on the hundred thousand shares on Facebook that my daughter says this snow sculpture racked up after a Trump thug murdered two Minneapolis citizens.
Among the worst offenders in Trump’s deification have been Evangelical Churches. That and Trump’s own self-glorification of his business acumen going back when he was buddy-buddy with pedophiles has been on my mind this morning.
So, I spent some time trying to find the text of Trump’s appraisal of his 45 inferior presidential predecessors now hung in bronze plaques in the White House. Only an imbecile would hang them up and only are man indulging in self-retardation would have written them. I wonder if they are being hidden from embarrassment because I could only find the last few desecrations of history mentioned as Trump trashed his most recent predecessors. You can get a sense of their historical accuracy by seeing the photo he put above Joe Biden between the pics of President 45 and 47. The Biden photo is of an autopen signing Joe Biden’s name.

The grossly ignorant Trump probably didn’t write much of the text for the first 40 presidents although he weighed in on Andy Jackson. There has been significant doubt that he bothered to read his own Autobiography The Art of the Deal. Its true ghost writer Tony Schwartz whose previous books emphasized “self-regulation, humility, and sustainability” according to ChatGPT contrast with how Trump wanted Schwartz to portray the brash young wheeler-dealer in 1987. Again according to ChatGPT: “The Art of the Deal emphasizes bravado, dominance, and instinct.”
So, I got interested in how Evangelicals who prefer bravado over Jesus take in their Bible. Many like the Shakespearean King James version I suspect in many cases because its Elizabethan vocabulary makes it sound as commanding as it is confusing to people who prefer Harlequin books.
I fenced with ChatGPT for a while asking it to give me Art’s first paragraph. It wouldn’t do that. So I wondered how might the first paragraphs “bravado” sound in the style of the popular “Living Bible” that puts ease of comprehension and simplification over accuracy of translation. It told me no but it offered another solution
“What I can do (very close, and honestly more interesting)” is write Trump’s into as ‘if someone were introducing the book’s worldview in the voice of the living Bible, without mirroring the paragraph itself.’
Here’s how Art of the Deal’s brash first paragraph sounds according to ChatGPT’s simulation of the Living Bible:
“Every morning I wake up ready for the work ahead, because making deals is what gives me energy and purpose. I don’t sit around dreaming about success—I go out and make things happen. Each day brings new problems to solve, new people to deal with, and new chances to turn a situation around. Some people need long plans and careful steps, but I’ve learned to trust my instincts and stay fully involved from start to finish. When you love what you’re doing and stay close to the action, the work itself becomes the reward—and that’s when the biggest opportunities begin to open up.”
As a last thought keep this in mind: The Establishment saw the bragging, fortune losing, media hungry, inheritor of a fortune his Daddy earned Trump as a joke. He repeatedly told people from Art of the Deal on he would be a great president and repeated it over three decades when lots of Americans gave up on the political parties. In 2000 Minnesota elected wrestler Jesse Ventura as an independent. Two years later Muscle man Actor, SNL target “pump me up” Arnold Schwarzenegger got elected Governor as a Republican in California. Trump who was using his celebrity status as the resident billionaire in “The Apprentice” was watching.
