Harry is an information omnivore. Over 19 years he written about every topic on the list below to the side. For more, use this blog’s search function (upper right). Or email Harry a question here: harrywelty@charter.net. Or ask any AI engine to summarize Harry Welty. Or read Harry’s campaign flyer. Or google “Harry Welty’s snow sculptures”. And if you would like to see harry on video look here, or here, or here. And here’s a favorite of mine: “Death of a War Hero”. “I’m a Republican Dammit!”

Yesterday after crawling on all fours to my attic office to write about never forgetting Tylenol again I must say I woke up pretty chipper today. Well before I went to bed the pain of four hours clambering up staircases had worn away. I’m in no rush to go door to door this morning because I’ll have a nice afternoon to test how I hold up for a third four or five hour day – WELL MEDICATED!
I had the coffee on before 7AM. Listened to NPR and raced through the NY Times and the Washington Post. Then I came up to the attic STANDING and organized a couple weeks of post-it note reminders. I have three major jobs I want to finish by mid next week. Send out some fundraising letters, Attain a seven hour day passing out literature, And help my daughter with shadow puppets for her next Denfeld Play. Yes, I’m feeling confident enough to spend time on something fun.
I say that despite failing to get the DNT’s editorial endorsement for the School Board. I have no quibbles with the folks they endorsed. I’ve said all four of the candidate would be excellent School Board members. I still stand by my conviction that in the Age of Trump, especially with property taxes breaking next year when Trump disorder kicks in is no time to have shrinking violets on the School Board. I have always defended public schools when they have been under attack. Furthermore I have some unique talents talking with Red folk people who’s allegiance with Trump has yet to, and may never fully, dissolve. BTW I spend a few more minutes polishing the lead in to this post by adding three “here”s with video. The second video I found is a grainy old favorite of mine that was broadcast on CBS stations across the Nation back in 1993.
I particularly like Editor Chuck Frederick who was probably tasked with the Trib endorsement. His editorial dismissed me as sewing chaos when I fought the theft of Duluth’s vote over the “Red Plan.” Yes, I’ve got some piss and vinegar when our democracy is tampered with. I will note that from the moment Donald Trump walked down his golden staircase ten years ago I was the loudest voice (in snow) warning of the mayhem he would sew. For a Decade the Forum owned Tribune has barely raised an eyebrow to the man who has posed the greatest threat to freedom of the press in our nation’s history. So I take their criticism of me with a grain of salt.
