“I hope we have a great new school year and I’d like to be a part of it.” This is how I concluded the 5 minutes I was given by PACT which you can see in the previous post. Given five minutes by PACT I did it under 3 minutes.
It can be watched with automatically generated subtitles that I hope my French Pen pal uses to keep track of what I’ve said. It says, for instance, I introduced myself as Wel instead of Welty. There are also some faithful captures of mistakes I made as I adlibbed.
“Adelaide” listened to it and sent me a screen capture telling me I spoke too fast and she was grateful for the captions.
All five School Board candidates were given five minutes by PACT. I haven’t watched the other candidates separate videos. However also on PACT was a 70 minute forum organized by the League of Women Voters. You can see all five of us side by side and I’m pleased to report I did not resort to Educational jargon or coded language although I am clearly a liberal.
