The last couple days I put my 2024 away – mostly. I have $1200 in a campaign account. I never bothered reporting its’ financing because most of my year’s mis-spending involved creating a half ass business to sell the books I wrote. I collected a little over $500.00 at about $25 apiece. Total spending was a little over $8000.00, mostly for printing 535 books of which 500 are still in my possession. They are still ready for me to trot out and sell for $12,500 (500 x $25.00) if I ever get my act together. I also have Amazon (Boo, hiss, Jeff Bezos) prepared to print a book for anyyone who orders on Amazon. Last year I ordered one and so did my French pen pal. That’s two.

The only difference is the Amazon version doesn’t have anything printed on the spine or “tranch” in French. Feel free to order the 3rd Amazon copy.

I’m not sure how much I spent on Congress but it was far less than the about $10,000 threshold for reporting in 2022.

I did not dip too far into my our retirement earnings for the book venture. I used about $7,000 earned from substitute teaching during Covid. So, if I ever sell the 500 books on hand I’ll be able to report them on my taxes. This year I have only loses to report and, as it is almost April, it was time to get my book financing figured out for tax season. Of course, Trump is firing half of the IRS so I doubt anyone will flag my business dealings this year unless Musk’s DOGE crew writes an algorithm.

Next year there will be no Social Security people so there will be no SS earnings to report for my 2025 taxes. All of this is in line with my random comment in the last post that Prez Trump will probably open a Department of Ignorance next year.

OK Everybody go home. There’s nothing more to see here!
