And was the Trib motivated by money?

I see that the DNT trotted out a medical examiner who’s once protected testimony seems to back up the reporting that a St. Lukes Doctor was careless and a menace. I’m quite prepared to believe that the Trib’s coverage was legitimate.

Poor old St. Lukes with hundreds of physicians to keep track of is stung by the allegation that they kept their neurosurgeon on because he generated big bucks. I don’t blame St. Lukes for resenting that implication.

Now I’d like to reintroduce an old question I posed of the DNT: As Dr. Dixon found his Red Plan under attack he began a pricey round of advertising in the struggling DNT. No one has ever reported how much the District paid the Trib but I wouldnt’ be surprised if it didn’t reach close to $100,000 in one of the more generous years. That’s a reporter or two’s worth of income.

So, is it at all possible that the Trib kept criticism of the Red Plan to a minimum for its own financial betterment?

Just asking.
