My last column for the Duluth Reader was screwed up. Its in the previous post as it was supposed to be. I didn’t link to the Online Reader because it had seven extra paragraphs at the end which appear to have been meant as part of a news story. Above you can see that those paragraphs also made it to the actual paper version of the Reader.
I don’t know if I’ll be motivated to send any more columns to the Reader. Its publisher has dug himselve a deep financial hole and it may take the Reader down. Screwing up my column was probably symptomatic of other cards in his falling house. I sent the editor a short note of condolences after a flurry of irritated emails about something he is cemented into.
I may simply rely on my poster outside to express my feelings for the six remaining weeks before we discover if Congress is snatched away from the little boy screaming at his Mommy to watch him jump in the pool for the millionth time.
