There has been more harassment of poor Scott Kuiti. He’s the businessman who has the misfortune of owning property next to the now leveled Piedmont Elementary School. The modest amount of property described in yesterday’s news story needed for a “safe” entrance into the new Piedmont school is a ruse. The District wants about fifteen times as much land far more than is necessary for a safe entrance. Its this larger parcel that is targeted for eminent domain and will be part of the resolution the Board considers.
Having successfully enlisted the DNT to editorially badmouth Mr. Kuiti for taking umbrage to the District’s trespassing bulldozers the School District has continued to send heavy machinery across Kuiti’s property without permission through the summer and fall. Chair Moses has inflicted a locust-like plague of heavy equipment on Mr. Kuiti and the poor man simply doesn’t have enough middle fingers to stop the invasion.
