Because of the negative impact of the Red Plan on the central part of the city with the closing of Central High School, Ness said the school district needs to do a better job of representing those residents.
“Grant is the only significant project in the center part of the city,” he said. “Yet it’s going to be the last project completed. The renaming of Grant without even a hint of discussion with the neighborhood was yet another indication of an apparent lack of consideration for folks living in the Hillside.”
