IDK (I don’t know) if many people read the Duluth News Tribune any more but a few years ago this story would have raised a lot of eyebrows.

And yet in our Quarantine haze I wonder how many people will bother to vote in November in the School Board election. There are not enough candidates for force a primary election. All but one of the candidates seem great to me. However after considering a school board campaign yet again I decided against it. But I’m in a good mood. My French studies for the past three-and-a-half years seem to be bearing fruit and my head is positively stuffed with ideas. The fact that I haven’t written more than a dozen posts in the last dozen months and that I haven’t written a column for the Reader since April 29th also leaves me with a desire to catch up. That’s not possible. I used to post half a dozen posts a day and often more each day, no sweat. Now Lincolndemocrat has a vast abyss of new posts. My reading hasn’t in any way slackened. Our world is on fire under a plastic haze with global warming gasses and pesticides killing 65 million years of evolution. We humans are more massive than that planet killing asteroid only we act in slow motion according to hour day by day indifference. We are creating the next mass extinction like the one that killed off the dinosaurs. So, look for a Reader column from me prompted by the story above and an email from a friend teasing me about it. It may be the first of a significant string of school related columns par moi. Or, I may poop out again. Time will tell.
