Bless you, Bless you, Bless you!

A string of emails today that put some tears in my eyes:

Subject: No Response

I sent in a form with my information about getting a sign and also along with a check for $25.00 donation for the book. I have received nothing but you have cashed my check on 9-24-19.
I sent a message on your FB page as well still no response.

I pray this is not how you operate and it’s just a overlook and or alot of orders to fill and I’m impatient. Thank You

You are right to be impatient with me. I always take too big a bite of everything I do. I very much appreciate the faith you have shown in me which I have not repaid in kind. If you want me to I will immediately repay your contribution.

I found that trying to campaign by myself has made it impossible for me to finish my proposed book on time. I mean to give all my contributors a modest substitute within a month of the election after I dispense with campaigning. Then I mean to complete the book on my life of education and send it out as well. But you may have heard how the road to H E double toothpicks is paved.

Putting up signs is time consuming and I may already have lost your confidence. I would, however, appreciate it if (with a reimbursed check or otherwise) you would still let me put up a sign on XXXXXXXXXXX Street. I await your reply and again offer my apologies.

The Reckoning Response (I got off easy)

No problem, I understand.
Absolutely not would I like my money returned. If and when you get the book done it would be a pleasure to read! I hope autographed as well. If no book then contribution to your campaign.
You certainly have been more than patient with this school board and city over the years! We want to show our support. Over the years I have heard you speak and you speak the truth. We have backed you then and we will back you now.
Just an FYI, we XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX so as far as the sign goes, you may put it where you see fit.
Many blessing to you and yours this campaign season.
Honesty is the best policy, exactly how we grew up.
Thank You for working so hard for the people and more importantly the children of this city!

My final reply:
