Here’s the link to Frank Wanner’s laughable column in today’s DNT.
Frank is the President of the Duluth Teacher’s Union; has been since the birth of Christ. He lauds Dr. Dixon, who a large number of his union members fear, because Frank is obliged to for the sake of union solidarity.
He lauds the process of designing the LRFP which he mentions he participated in although, from reports I heard, he himself rarely attended meetings of the Citizen’s Committee.
He says these new schools will be great for our children’s education but I can assure you that in the old days he would have railed at the implication in this assurance that teachers were somehow secondary to the process of education.
His claim that critics of the Red Plan have stooped to mean spirited personal criticism is for me the funniest assertion of all. Its the pot calling the kettle black.
When he was a young man full of piss and vinegar and leading the teachers of Duluth to their first and only strike he would have rolled his eyes at such a column.
