Principal punditry

The latest in a parade of Duluth Public School principals has sent his obligatory pro-Red Plan letter to the Duluth Nip and Tuck.

The life of a principal can be tough. He/She can be viewed as an enforcer for the Administration. Long lived principals strive to find middle ground. On the one hand they help the Administration enforce policy. On the other hand they support their building staff and placate concerned parents.

Life must be very dicey today in Duluth for Dr. Dixon’s newbie Principals. Dr. Dixon iz da man.

But honestly, after the heart strings have played in this letter about how tragic it was to show a prospective parent around a building with a trash can in the hallway collecting water and pining for the completion of the new Ordean High School a rational person is left to ask a serious question.

So, Doesn’t the principal understand that his building is slated to become a Junior High. Shouldn’t someone be fixing that leak for the middle school kids that will be brought back from Morgan Park to attend East Middle School?

He does recite the names of the four incumbents who have inflicted the Red Curse on Duluth. Its entirely appropriate. Like his letter they are all wet too. If they lose maybe they will lend him their old umbrellas.
