From JCI’s “poor me” schtick in today’s “Overheard” column.
On the decision to locate high schools at Denfeld and Ordean:
“Every group we met said to put the schools where families live, to put the schools where the kids are.” – David
“Put schools where they should be. That’s what we did.” – Schiltz
“With utmost confidence I think our numbers are right on the mark with demographics.” – David
Apparently the only people JCI talked to were never asked if they thought there might be a sensible ceiling placed on the project’s overall costs. I guess when you get lawyers who tell you the sky-is-the-limit and the customers will have to buy it whether they want to or not, financial restraint isn’t something you bother mentioning to them.
