One Trib editor seems to understand what education is all about. Hint. Its not bricks and mortar.

This is a wonderful column.

Chuck Frederick gives all the credit for the enrollment jump at St. Jeans to its beloved and about to be fired principal, Sharon Pristash.

More telling, enrollment skyrocketed, leaping nearly 75 percent. Many of the school’s 169 students were signed up by parents after touring the school with Pristash

That enrollment will continue to increase from anecdotal reports. Its now the anger with the Duluth Public Schools that is fueling it. Principal Pristash sounds like she is under the thumb of an administrator very much in the mold of the Duluth School Superintendent, Dr. Keith Dixon. Both answer only to God.
