Bullshit!
I’m embarrassed for those who are still defending Keith Dixon. It is only by admitting the truth that these folks can begin to win back the voter’s trust.
You can expect the union, Education Minnesota, to start using Duluth as the poster boy for the state’s stinginess. That’s a lie. The state hasn’t helped any school district but Duluth’s massive over crowding is all of its own doing when it gambled that six million annual operating dollars could be transferred to pay off Red Plan bank loans and recovered through annual energy and staff savings. Neither materialized and then the District compounded its problems by giving the teachers too much in contract settlements necessitating further lay offs.
Hell, Even local union president, Frank Wanner, finally commented that the surprise purchase of two 8 million dollar swimming pools showed where the School Board’s priorities lay. (BTW: for once Frank and I are on the same page. Teachers not buildings are a higher priority but both trail the interests of those poor kids crammed in Red Plan classrooms that are far too small for them)
These folks are just daring me to run for the School Board again.
