Predictably I couldn’t let a half baked website languish. I was up by 4am and began learning how my updated but still ancient website software works. I’m an old dog where the Internet is concerned. If dial up wasn’t so slow I’d still be using it rather than a cable modem.
I began using Microsoft’s Frontpage Software when it was called Frontpage 95 the number representing the year. I reluctantly switched to Frontpage 98 a few years later and bought a copy of Frontpage 2003 in about 2005. I never used the updated software enough to get familiar with it. Today in the year 2012, seven years later, I’ve finally started using the ancient 2003 Frontpage software. No doubt it is hopelessly archaic but what’s an old dog to do.
My site now has pages with my pretty picture on them. It was taken back in 2006 when I ran against Jim Oberstar the previous congressman. My beard is a goatee now and six years grayer. Mine is a clunky site and I’ve got to go through the hastily constructed pages to pare the verbiage down. I’m still waiting for my web hosts to connect the URL to the right location. Until then you can peruse my site by clicking here.
