I hope to have a 24 hour wonder of a website up by the end of the day. That’ll be a challenge because I’m spending the morning and early afternoon at Duluth’s Stowe Elementary School building snow sculptures. (More in the next post)
I ordered the Domain name of the title from GoDaddy.com. Just six bucks. Mine is a low budget campaign. I might as well call it an “exploratory” committee right now. I’m going to explore the possibility of putting a Pied Piper campaign together on the Internet. Its not quite the current phenomenon of candidate Hank the cat who is already under assault by a Pro Dog Superpac. I’m no cat but I know that the Internet can give a wild card more potential to reach people in far distant places than the campaigns of previous years. I got a small taste of that six years ago when some people I’ve never met put various Wiki pages together for me on their own. Here’s one of them. God knows what’s in them now because I haven’t spent much time perusing them.
Tonight I’ll put a little more detail in another ten of the couple dozen pages I set up. Most of the website will point to this blog. My intention is for the website is to make it easier for curious Internet travelers to quickly research my wild card candidacy. This blog is not built for people with short attention spans. I hope the website will be.
After the site is up I don’t plan to spend to much time on it. Its already more revealing than the websites of the other four declared candidates. I’ve got links to them on my site.My websites chief deficiency is that I haven’t yet put up a page for people to buy my book the equivalent of making a donation. I don’t plan to do that until I’ve got the first fifth of the book written – that will be about 75 pages. I’m hoping to have that done before the end of the month.
