After Trump, what next?

I might proof read this later. This post is mostly a space for very public private reflection. The dogs of war and revenge are circling the king of revenge and I’m very pleased. I’ve created a new category for this post: After Trump.

I played my almost negligible part in the greatest enterprise of my elder years – Weakening Trumpisms Anti-Americanism.
For the few thousand people in the not quite negligible small city of Duluth, Minnesota I who read my tabloid column I was among the first people to wave a bloody shirt screaming that Donald Trump was coming. For nine years stopping his depredations has been my cause celebre. My last two columns for the Duluth Reader have had subtitles of the next terrible things that Trump has let loose that might be my next column. I can’t keep up with the excellent reporting being done in the nation’s remaining Big City papers. So, rather than attempt to explain the obvious I think it time to concentrate on the coming world without Donald Trump.

Predicting Trump’s end is dicey. He has recovered from every scrape he’s gotten into like some sci-fi character with a worm hole to walk through that allows all the previous comic book storylines to disappear as into a black hole. I think his regaining the White House is his last escape. Now he faces 1300 remaining days to suffer the cruel fate my Schadenfreude has been longing for. Even his own cultists will be forced to recognize, even it they don’t admit it, that he is a washed up turd who has made their lives far worse than whatever liberals or democrats or the intelligentsia or who ever they want to blame has done to them.

I will stick for the most part to what I think is best. Honesty, kindness with just enough salt to pour into clueless people’s cuts to make them wince themselves awake, and continued learning. To that end I submit the three books I’m tempted to make my next completed book.

I’ve finished two books in recent months. One on the Great Influenza and one on the “wars” of public education over the past two centuries.

The three books above have been on my book shelves for years. Dark Money for five years is about halfway read. Its about the real Dark State which is to say the Deep Pockets of the rich trying to remove the government from shaking money out of the rest of us by handcuffing their police the Deep State that doesn’t let them get away with shakedowns.

The middle book is one man’s take on the great western literature of the past 500 years. I’m treating it like Cliff Notes on all the notable literary work but its occasionally a slog. And the book on the left I picked up by chance in a used book store. Last night I pulled it out of a to read immediately shelf and zipped through 15 pages I found eminently readable given my tastes in history. I recall reading that the book explains why Fundamentalist Christianity didn’t die when in the 1930’s a British explorer found Nineveh the capital of Assyria at a time when people doubted the Bible as proof it existed through the years of David’s Israel….thus rendering the Bible a fraud…..until Nineveh was discovered.

The first book seems like something I should eat like spinach (Which I happen to like) The Second book could wait another twenty years, which is how long its waited for me to pick it up again. The last book seems like a fascinating read. I think I will concentrate on it.
But Donald Trump’s path of destruction will call for massive repairs and that’s what I think I’ll write about as though Trump’s dumping will soon be a fait acompli. That’s French for done deal.

And on the French front I’ve finally found the tool that would have shaved off a couple years of my slow learning curve to understand French. Its AI as developed by an Ap called Hello Talk. But I don’t want to talk about my French studies at the moment. So, On to Donald Trump’s aftermath.

It remains to be seen if the world will easily allow us to return to first place after betraying them with Trump. We look like chumps because the Deep Pockets trained Americans to become chumps. Trump only picked up the cues first and used his skill as a mega liar to do more damage faster than the mega rich ever imagined. He has even made the idea of taxing billionaires back down to multi-millionaires seem sensible and necessary. Thank you Don you turd.

I know how I will go about this. I don’t know how different versions of Democrats will do this. I want a second party but I fear Donald Trump has permanently poisoned the Republicans party. I’ll sit things out a little like Abe Lincoln did when the Whigs imploded. I’ve thought about a Party of Lincoln for years. I don’t want to help create a party which will allow Republicans to stay in power by drawing potential Democratic votes away. I won’t do that and I won’t support third parties that can until the Trumplican universe is so shrunken that we can drown it in the bathtub……the way the Trumpian Club for Growth wants to drown our government for helping people in need.

I stick by what I said on my card for a congressional campaign. I like Democrats.

But I don’t like them so much I want them to be the only political party. We had that in the Era of good feelings. A second party was necessary when Andy Jackson decided he could ignore the Supreme Court.

Good place to stop….I want to know more about Nineveh’s discovery

Oh and GOP penises……I might post an image with this topic my wife really didn’t want me to sink to……like all the Republicans on their knees in the Oval Office.
