The first five paragraphs are about the pestilance remembered as the Spanish flu. The book I’ve been reading describes how it starts as a “Swarm.”
I apply it as a metaphor to what has become of Christianity in America in today’s Trump Idiotocracy. I write:
“The idea of a swarm is the perfect metaphor for today’s mutant strain of spiteful Christianity that has perverted Jesus’s call to “turn the other cheek” into a call for a King Cyrus.”
