JCI never coughed up a particle of the public data it generated to build the Red Plan. That has been my greatest frustration and it was apparent that they were grateful to drop the lawsuit some of us brought against them to avoid the process of discovery which would have given our side the chance to see how the Red Plan was created.
Today JCI is working like crazy to keep public data hidden in the St. Louis County School District where it stands to pull in another hundred million public dollars on a second boondoggle that has caused civil war in that district.
Now they have hired one of the biggest lawyers in the DFL pantheon to help them keep their doings secret. You can be sure Lilly will charge JCI one helluva lot more than the $3,900 it is demanding to photocopy a dozen sheets of public data.
“Sleazy bastards” is a phrase that barely covers the arrogance and abuse of power behind this Fortune 500 company’s operation. Oops, I may have just violated the terms of my agreement to zip my lips where JCI’s business practices are concerned.
