Cleaning up Oz

I spent four hours today on my French. Two hours were spent at Duluth’s club Francophone where I’m beginning to follow conversations. Then there were two one or two French detective series to watch and I listened to an hour of Radio France from the city of Nantes while I put respectable faces on my Oz characters. They don’t look like the actors but at least they are not hideous. Our cold weather to come made it easy to motivate myself because they won’t change much for several weeks. Besides that I wanted to take a picture of the entire sculpture that would replace the one I sent in to the Duluth Reader yesterday with my column. My column was titled Wizard and I don’t want people looking at a substandard Tin man and Scarecrow as they read how close to my heart the Wizard of Oz is.

I will not be putting new into the blog today. The last couple days I’ve spent more time fussing with blog posts than I wanted to. I only rarely share my Reader columns before the actual printed Reader hits the stands on Thursday or Friday and I’ll stick to that with one possible exception. I would like to translate a new book, which I have yet to write into French. As a test I’m going to see if I can use AI to translate the column Wizardry into French. If I can’t do it that’s the end of Saturday’s posts. If I can Adelaide will have something from me in French for a change.
