Another stab at blogging

My foray back to blogging may not last long but I’ve just linked to a fine piece about a retiring NPR reporter John Burnett. About myself I’ll add that this morning I found myself answering my Duolingo exercises in French with unexpected ease. I just wrestled with a yet to be finished column for the Reader which I will probably work on tonight and turn into tomorrow a day late yet again.

I’ve finished a chapter in a history book that will be part of the column unless I change my mind. And I’m holding off on making a small clay model of a rather challenging sculpture I hope will grace my front yard before the month is out. It occurred to me that I am still learning at age 72 and getting better. five years of french practice, 21 years of column writing and 34 years of snow sculpting is paying off.
