Of course, its the state’s fault

Of course, this is only a half truth.

The print version of the story is a little more detailed with the musings of Dr. Dixon’s great apologist, teacher’s union head, Frank Wanner. Like the District’s PR whiz, Wanner casts blame outside Duluth, beyond the reach of JCI and the Red Plan:

“‘The main problem has been caused once again by the state…underfunding education,’ Wanner said. ‘And it comes back and affects people in Duluth.” Wanner sent an e-mail to teachers Friday warning them of the budget crisis.”

Maybe Frank could explain to his teachers why Duluth’s largest classrooms seem to have ten more students in them than the Cloquet schools which operate under the same state financing limitations as the Duluth Schools.
