My Day of Treason column in the Reader

I was annoyed with myself when I read the Reader column last night. The third paragraph was chaotic:

I watched that invasion slack jawed on television one year ago. Google: Duluth Reader, “Purging the RINOs” Jan 14, 2021. I have alternately seethed at what they did then and still are still attempting to do and my better angels. They were Lincoln’s better angels, before his brains were blown out by an early version of a Trump supporter.

This is a more faithful representation of what I wanted to write:

I have alternately seethed at what they did (and are still attempting to do) and tried to calm myself with my better angels. They were Lincoln’s better angels first, before his brains were blown out by an early version of a Trump supporter.

You can bear that in mind as you read the Online Reader here: https://duluthreader.com/articles/2022/01/12/120270-a-day-of-treason-revisited-a-year-later
