This was a letter from my Mother in the same year as the letter in the previous post. I had asked Mom to illustrate a story about one of our first tiffs. The capitalized letters spell out her apprehension as she first approached her far more challenging end of the proposed book.
We never finished the book Harry’s Nap. Its one of my regrets and another example of me not crossing a finish line. But this painting/illustration hangs in our house to remind me of a wonderful collaboration.

Here is the full true story with half the illustrations never completed. BTW – the reference to burning the blanket was another true story from my childhood. Poor Blue Blankee.
