Tischer Creek Trek with the Tan Man

I’ve never been sure which creek runs a block east of the soon to be East Junior High. It’s apparently Tischer Creek.

After correcting the rest of my campaign finance records, except for an anonymous $10 donation that I haven’t figured out how to report, I took the Tan Man on a trek to deposit my last donation for the reporting period which ended yesterday, frolic at Kenwood Edison School playground and hike down the Tischer canyon from 4th street to Superior St. He’s a good little rock climber and we crossed the stream many times over rocks and boulders till we got to our terminus. After that we headed to the Mount Royal Library and selected 18 books to check out. When Grandma arrived we had a pepperoni pizza at Bulldog’s.

After that I almost have to ask myself why anyone in their right mind would want to run for election to the state legislature. Oh, I forgot. I made a vow to myself and I don’t want to let down all these people. Drat!

While I was at the library I picked up the Zenith City Semi Weekly. There I was, or rather my ad, in all my glory on the inside front cover. Cool. If I can muster the strength I’ll try to put a facsimile of it on the web somewhere with a link. Otherwise my loyal local readers will have to pick up a Zenith or a Hillsider or a Reader Weekly this weekend. They all have roughly the same ad.

I’m going to be sort of incommunicado until late Monday because after my Sunday late night donation forraging I owe it to Grandma to ignore politics and enjoy a couple days of R and R. Oh, I’ll take the laptop with me but I want to be fresh for the final two weeks. I’ll have the weekend to think about how I should spend that last three thousand dollars in my campaign war chest. M-16’s are out of my reach but maybe Dennis the Menace will loan me a sling shot.
