The tale of the Vasa

The Vasa

A pipe line company investigating a mile and a half wide strip of the Baltic Sea’s floor located 12 old ships including one that goes back to the middle ages. The Baltic has thousands such ships one of which was the Great ship the Vasa which was uncovered in 1960 and is now in housed in one of Scandinavia’s most popular tourist attractions.

The news story I read about this mentioned the Vasa and I wanted to get a look at it having read about it. I found this website which had a number of pictures and this sardonic comment

since the person making the design changes which lead to insufficient ballast was the King no one was eventually convicted

Dr. Dixon isn’t a king and that may be the reason he is rumored to be looking for work elsewhere, long before the expiration of his contract. It remains to be seen if the District will stay upright after the Red Plan is launched. The Vasa only lasted one mile before it capsized. No one in Sweden had the temerity to tell the King his ship wouldn’t float.
