The second letter in today’s Trib is also anti-Red Plan. Actually its anti-Red Planner and its a gem.

The most powerful lessons in life come through personal example. “Actions speak louder than words.”

A Mr. Cikanek suggests that the values our schools are teaching are betrayed by the actions of the School Board. To the six examples he gives I might add this: A School Board which praises itself for listening to people up until the moment that serious opposition to their planning develops.

Mr. Cikanek puts it this way in his sixth example:

“Democracy is not to be trusted. If you want to get business done, bypass ballots. Instead look for a canoe sized loophole and force through an ore ship-sized bond. Dividing a city is an acceptable casualty in winning expediency.”
