Geez! Its 10:30 AM already. I’ve got a million things to do but after shutting down the blog I found an email reminding me of yet one more Red carpet piece in the Trib today. Its a column by another Duluth principal extolling the virtues of the Red Plan.
The last such letter from another administrator got me to thinking about the absence of similar letters from teachers echoing the joyous refrain. A couple years ago a lot of teachers wrote letters to the editor enthusing over the then pending Red Plan. I don’t think I’ve seen such a letter from a teacher in over a year. They must be too busy pretending to be brick and mortar so that they don’t run afoul of the District’s true priorities.
Oh, and to pour a little cold water on the “finished product” at Homecroft. Its not finished yet. Some cosmetic work has been completed, new paint and lockers, but the school still has classes in portables.
More importantly, most of the work done on Homecroft – a renovation – is consistent with plans for it in Plan B.
