That didn’t last long

I went down to Old Central to witness the open meeting preceding the closed meeting to discuss litigation. Room 302 was set up for the closed meeting so after they convened and Mr. Glass asked why he received no hard copy notice of the special meeting. Chair Grover strongly encouraged him to look at his email regularly from now on. A couple other Board members were quick to say that notice of the meeting had made the Trib. I didn’t see it. It must have been. Was in the Online version, I wonder? If so how would go about finding it?

After dispensing with the explanation Tim looked over at me and made a sweeping arm gesture arcing toward the door. The gesture was accompanied by a whooshing sound as though the Chair was calling a retriever to go get a duck or pheasant. I gathered up my bundle and headed to the second floor where the Central Class of 59 was dining in the old auditorium. Despite not having air conditioning it wasn’t too oppressive. I saw some allies and told them I was leaving because it had been announced no public meeting would follow the closed session. Besides, if I so much as nodded at Mr. Glass he’d probably be accused of spilling the beans to me.
