Honestly, if you lived in Duluth you would understand this question. We’ve had some of the coldest most unsummerlike weather in a long while but today was a stunning exception. I’ve got a couple thousand more words just itching for a chance to leap into this blog but sacrificing this day was too high a price for immediacy.
Even so, without a single fresh post all day until now, 200 visitors stopped by today. I’ve only had two other days this month that missed 200 and they were on the Saturday and Sunday that started July. Tomorrow I have to start suggesting discovery questions of the District for my attorney and Tuesday I’ll have up to seven hours of grilling by the District’s attorneys in my deposition. That is also the day that the filings for school board will close. So far the only incumbent who isn’t facing a challenger is the First District’s Ann Wasson. Ann went unchallenged in her last race. Easy to win under those circumstances and that was before the Red Plan.
Here’s a tidbit. I’ve got a war wound. I’m sporting a black eye from flailing about in the dunk tank Friday. I got a little overdramatic and crashed my face into the tank on one plunge. After I crawled back to the plank I unsuccessfully tried to wipe a bang away from my brow until I realized that it was the brow itself that was a little puffed up. Now I’ve got a shiner. That’s nuthin. Wait till the District’s attorney gets a hold of me in that deposition. I probably won’t come out with a stitch of clothing on afterwards. Come to think of it that’s how I ended up after the School Board adopted the Red Plan. They didn’t even leave me with pockets to pull out. They took those too.
