I’m sitting here typing away looking at my sleek, new phone sitting on its charging stand. Its got a led clock that reads 4:49 AM. I haven’t had a clock in my office since the cats knocked the old one down a year ago. Four hours of sleep. I hope that’s enough to get me through the day.
I was near exhaustion at news time last night. I’d spent the evening punching phone numbers in the cell phone I bought to replace my three year old dinosaur that was finally becoming indispensable even though I could barely figure it out. I asked for phone for dummies – the kind who are to stupid to see the beautiful new clothes the King is wearing as he parades down the street. Although new for me it was already hopelessly out of fashion so it cost no more than it would have to replace the batteries in the old phone.
I could have spent four times as much on a phone with gizmos I’d never be able to figure out Red Phone if you will. One that cost a fortune. One that other’s chose for me. And one I was too dumb to figure out. Yeah, a Red Phone.
It must be awfully hard for the Duluth School Board having to fight dummies like me too stupid to understand the glories and benefits of the Red Plan. Dumb like a fox.
