We don’t want to build new schools for those Duluth kids!

But we will bus them in so they can attend our old schools. Such was the overwhelming decision of Wrenshall’s voters in yesterday’s building referendum.

I’d be happy to welcome the 100 Duluth students currently attending Wrenshall back into the fold. Heck, I’d welcome the entire Wrenshall student population open enrolling into our brand-spanking new schools.

Annie Harala suggested sending our buses into outlying school districts last night’s meeting conjuring up the image of a dog-pound van hunting for strays. I don’t see that as terribly practical but if I thought a mass exodus was about to occur I’d have no problem sending our buses elsewhere. Think about it Wrenshall!
