Let Duluth Vote is calling for Red Plan Critics to attend Tomorrow’s School Board meeting. Advances alternative to Ordean High School

Let Duluth Vote has been circulating a letter encouraging its supporters to attend tomorrow’s Duluth School Board meeting which is set to approve $51 million of construction on the Ordean site this summer. The Board will also vote on Superintendent Dixon’s recommendation to send all Ordean students to Woodland by adding portable classrooms and bus Woodland students to Morgan Park while assigning students to the District’s new boundaries.

At last week’s Business Committee meeting only Gary Glass challenged the reasons for closing Ordean early so Let Duluth Vote is encouraging the public to weigh in as well.

Additionally some members of Let Duluth Vote are circulating a new proposal for a Duluth High School which would combine East and Central on the existing Central Campus.

Let Duluth Vote members plan to wave placards again this evening at 3pm below Central High along Central Entrance to show support for a vote on the Red Plan.
