At the last Minnesota School Board’s conference several of Duluth’s school board members ran into a number of the ex JCI “consultants” who helped force the Red Plan down Duluth’s throats. Some had all left Johnson Controls in disgust.
Meanwhile, Michael David, who led much of the Red Plan has also gone his merry way as well continuing his own personal consulting juggernaut through Minnesota Schools. After he broke from JCI I discovered that he and his partner had donated $10,000 to help pass a referendum in the School District that Keith Dixon moved onto after leaving Duluth. No doubt with all his Red Plan earnings that was a cheap way to repay Dr. Dixon. And who knows. Dixon would have put in a good word for him if Centennial had decided it needed to build more schools.
This City Pages story lists outrageous percentages being paid to sub contractors. Funny thing is that these outrageous percentages for the Prior Lake Project and others pales compared to the highway robbery percentages paid out to JCI in the Red Plan.
