It gets worse

Not only did the school administration fail to tell the residents of Western Duluth about the Tuesday night meeting they didn’t bother telling the School Board. In fact, they misled them into thinking such a meeting would be held in the future. Board Chair Tim Grover knew about it. He was at the meeting. Perhaps it was his idea to keep other Board members in the dark where the District keeps the rest of its zombies. Sorry, that wasn’t PG approved.

Subject: FW: Western Middle School Site Design Concept with Access
Road

School Board Members,
Over the past several months our project architects, engineers and the Western Middle School Design Team have been meeting, gathering information and considering various concepts for the new Western Middle School on the Wheeler North Site. The refinement of concepts and development of preliminary designs relating to the location of the school buildings, general site features and road access points has reached a point where the next step is to gain the Board’s input on the concepts, and also to receive community feedback on these plans.

We are planning for a meeting organized at the request of the Harrison neighborhood where we plan to share the attached site concepts. Prior to making these plans public we are in the process of contacting property owners whose property is directly impacted by the primary access road. We will plan a meeting in the near future to discuss the plans with the Board in more detail. If prior to that meeting you have questions or would like to express your considerations relating to the site concept, pleased feel free to send them by e-mail or give me a call.
