I got an email today pointing out what seems to be a bit of a contridiction from Dr. Dixon. (surprise, surprise)
His rubber stamps were recently complaining that Let Duluth Vote was forcing them to spend needlessly to prepare for our unwanted smaller building program Plan B. Ah but what did he say about that wasteful $250,000 today? Here’s the email:
“I think we certainly have a valid contract relative to this lawsuit,” Dixon said. “One of the things you’ll remember is that I asked the board to set aside an amount of money [$250,000] to help cover potential lawsuits.”Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought the school board voted at the last school board meeting (2/24) to set aside $250,000 for the development of the MDE review and comment for Let Duluth Vote’s Plan B.
Superintendent Dixon said at a school board meeting on 12/16/08 that they [the District] intended to “move forward” with LDV’s Plan B because “we have a valid petition with 3000 signatures on it.”
