More on the Con

Two of the folks at the District’s meeting to discuss boundaries reported on the dismal affair at our Let Duluth Vote meeting tonight. (It was such a great meeting but I was sworn to secrecy about it) They elaborated on some of the insanity I left out of my post. They asked Joe Hill why the District didn’t send flyers out to parents to come. Why the District’s tight finances was the explanation. They may have a print shop but the paper was too costly. Then they asked why didn’t the District use its automatic calling system that would have reached every parent at no cost to the District? No answer.

The answer was the tiny room they held the con job in. Room 302 of the CAB could barely have held thirty people but they only set up enough chairs for about 20. Half this number showed up. The older ladies who reported back to us tonight were questioned about their motives for showing up. They looked to be past their child bearing years making them a very suspicous pair.

Oh but Board member Nancy Nilsen said she was desperate for more parents to come. Apparently its the Administration that doesn’t want to put Board members in the gun sights of angry parents. Good thing most parents don’t know the District’s plans to move Ordean kids to Woodland next year and Woodland kids to Morgan Park. Ordean’s sixth graders will go to Grant school and Grant’s children will go to Nettleton school. Ah, but the millions of people going to the ISD 709 webpages have no doubt read all this.

The Red plan is Dante’s Inferno. It will put our children through purgatory before it sends them to heaven. I fully expect the heaven part to be part of an elaborate bait-and-switch con. The real destination is Hell.
