Received this morning on my School District Account:
Harry-
I wanted to tell you that in your blog post of yesterday, you have identified the wrong Bruce Johnson as the author of the DNT letter to the editor. I happen to know this particular person and spoke to him just yesterday about his letter. He is not an administrative law judge, nor is he married to “Jane.”
Since you can’t possibly know everyone who writes a letter and disagrees with you, you shouldn’t jump to conclusions like this. And, since you don’t allow the individuals who you cite in your blog to respond (or anyone, for that matter, since you have the comments turned off), I thought I would.
Why do you feel that you must attack anyone who disagrees with you by writing a blog post and turning it into a personal attack? Must everyone who has another opinion than yours become your enemy? And must you always jump to conclusions that turn it into a personal fight or conspiracy? In this case, you identified the wrong person entirely.
I don’t know who the other “Bruce Johnson” is, but you owe both him (and his wife) an apology.
To which I replied:
You are absolutely right. I will correct my error and apologize to the Bruce I misidentified.
