The Red Plan was the year’s number two local news story for the Trib this year. (I think for the second year running) The Trib has helped create the public’s apathy about its ability to slow down or stop the Red Plan with nonsense like this from their Dec. 28th paper:
2. Red plan is reality:
“Work begins on the Duluth school district’s $293 million long-range building plan despite efforts to halt or rein in the project. Opponents took their case to the Legislature, the City Council and the Minnesota Department of Education. Property acquisition is nearly complete for the two-high school, two-middle school, nine-elementary school configuration.”
Let Duluth Vote still has potent options and the Red Plan has a tough obstacle course lying ahead of it even if the Tribune doesn’t know it.
