“I waited until she left.”

At the recent marathon meeting this week The Trib’s reporter Sarah Horner slogged through four or so hours of discussion but left fifteen minutes before it ended.

There had been an extended presentation of how the Morgan Park School helped make new students feel welcome. Afterwards, Laura Condon asked a delicate question about how the new Red Plan boundaries would affect the diverse students who would be forced to change schools. Superintendent Dixon craned his neck very deliberately to see if Sarah Horner was still taking notes before answering.

“No, I waited until she left.” Laura reassured him.
