If you want to know what’s happening with the Red Plan I’d not encourage you to put too much faith in the Trib. However, the letters to the editor column can provide some great stuff. Like this:

The School Board and superintendent are now experts in economic development. By robbing teachers of jobs, children of programs and teachers, and taxpayers, they can afford to support a bevy of Johnson Controls employees, lawyers, lobbyists and the local construction industry. On one side of their mouths they cry poor. On the other, they spit out dollars — to the people least associated with education.
We deserve better in Duluth. I encourage residents to write letters to the Minnesota Department of Education, to join a group fighting for our city, to do what they can. Anyone who does will feel better about themselves and about not rolling over and letting this happen.
