Council seeing Red

Today’s Trib covered the long delayed and much anticipated meeting between the City Council and the School Board.

The last two paragraphs weren’t flattering to the Board.

“Gardner said she wanted more time to ask questions, and said she, too, was concerned by some of the answers she received, saying she wanted them to be more direct. She said she is concerned that the public’s opposition to the red plan could lead to the rejection of a much-needed school levy to be voted on this fall.

‘We cannot kid ourselves that opponents of this plan are just a small vocal minority anymore,’ she said. ‘I don’t think the board realizes the depth of opposition to this plan and the damage it can do to this community.'”
