Another instance of the Duluth School Board being unnecessary

This happy story in today’s sport’s sections gives me a reason to josh about the impotence of the current Duluth School Board.

One of the many unplanned consequences of the Red Plan is the unequal populations of our two high schools Denfeld and East High. The consequence is that it makes little sense to put the smaller Denfeld in the same Athletic conference where they would be overpowered by the larger schools that are better matches for the larger East High. But this meant that two old rivals; natural ones at that, would not meet on the gridiron for a football scrimmage.

I read about an attempt to rectify this a week ago in the Trib. At no time was the School Board appraised of this sad dis-junction. It was resolved without bothering our pretty little heads with the problem. I’m pleased with the positive resolution. I’m aggrieved that it gives our administration one more proof of our School Board’s in-consequence. Pass me the rubber stamp.
