…if America grinds to a halt?
For my buddy who desperately wants the blame to fall on Obama I sadly have to concur with this analysis from Andrew Sullivan’s blog.
I recall learning that Richard Nixon tried to convince Hanoi in the death throes of Vietnam that he was a madman who would wreak havoc on the country rather than give in. That was play acting. It sure looks to me as though today’s Republican Party is following the same tactic but without the play acting. Maybe I should only blame Obama for thinking there was something behind the GOP other than paranoia and bombast. Afterall he’s a young fellow and hasn’t spent the past twenty years watching the wingnuts take over the party like I have.
